THE X. RIVER KWAI HOSTS PORSCHE CLUB THAILAND FOR EXCLUSIVE KANCHANABURI CARAVAN AND RIVERSIDE DINING EXPERIENCE
The roads were made for driving, and the river was made for the reset.
The X. River Kwai served as the host resort and pitstop for Porsche Club Thailand during their recent premium weekend drive through Kanchanaburi. The event brought together luxury automotive enthusiasts for an itinerary that combined scenic highway driving, cultural exploration, and an overnight stay along the Kwai Noi River.
The caravan was comprised of 29 Porsche vehicles traveling in an organized procession across the province's iconic routes. Recognizing the significance of the event for local tourism, representatives from the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) Kanchanaburi Office extended a warm official welcome to the club members.
During their tour, Porsche Club Thailand visited several of the region’s key historical and natural landmarks:

• The Historic Thai Paper Mill Kanchanaburi: A famous World War II–era industrial site built in 1935, featuring iconic European-style industrial architecture, classic chimney stacks, and rich provincial heritage. Distance from resort: ~15 km (Estimated travel time: 18–22 minutes by car)

• The Giant Rain Tree: A natural landmark over 100 years old, spanning a canopy more than 25 meters wide, offering a scenic surrounding walk and prime photo opportunities. Distance from resort: ~22 km (Estimated travel time: 25–30 minutes by car)

• Wat Tham Phu Wa: A tranquil cave temple complex famed for its striking reddish-brown Khmer-style stone shrine facades and serene subterranean meditation caverns. Distance from resort: ~18 km (Estimated travel time: 20–25 minutes by car)
Following their daytime rally, club members checked into The X. River Kwai Resort for an overnight stay, with accommodations ranging from our Luxe Cabins to the Fallingwater Pool Villas. The evening culminated in an exclusive group dinner at The Bridge Bar & Bistro, the resort's signature dining venue, where guests enjoyed local and international culinary dishes, beer, wine, and cocktails against the backdrop of the river.
